Course Overview
Claims of parental alienation have infiltrated the family court system and social care arena in recent years. Nevertheless, claims of alienation are still being made and investigated resulting in a moral obligation to understand its origins and so that they those tasks with exploring claims can do so in an informed way.
The course outlines the origin of the parental alienation theory and looks at modern research around its use and misuse in cases involving domestic abuse and post separation abuse.
